| Julio (14.1 hds., November, 2009) is a very flashy chestnut gelding. He has a fantastic headset, lots of reach and lift, and plenty of brio. He was bred by Mimi Busk Downey. Once Julio trusts you, he learns quickly. He is easy to clip, good for the farrier, stands tied, and loads and hauls well. He is used to being saddled with the crupper. And he has been ground-driven with his halter down the road. The next step in his training will be ground driving with the Peruvian bosal. By May of 2010, he will be ready for a rider. Once I (with God's help) get him under saddle, his price will go up. |
